Peter Gade was born December 14, 1976 in Aalborg, Denmark and is a former Danish professional badminton player. Gade made his mark in badminton history through his All England Open Badminton Championships singles title in 1999 and his five European Championships crowns in the men’s singles event, as well as topping the world rankings from 1998 to 2001. With his 22 Grand-Prix titles, he has become one of the sport’s most successful players. On June 22, 2006, he briefly recaptured the number one spot in the world rankings again, beating Lin Dan at his homecourt in China.
Peter made a huge impact on the badminton world for years representing the european side in countless battles as a opart of the Legend 4, Lin Dan, Lee Chong Wei and Taufik Hidayat
